- A handy tip – when gluing a solar panel to a van roof or installing a skylight, carefully place masking tape on the perimeter of the area you want to apply sealant. The tape will catch any sealant that squidges out during application of your panel or skylight and saves you a messy (and sticky!) clean up job. We also recommend using gloves to limit contact with the sticky sealant.
