For conventional shooting, Single-Lens Mode supports up to 4K 60fps, while Insta360's FlowState stabilization helps produce smooth footage during movement. The camera also supports creative modes including PureVideo, InstaFrame, Active HDR, Timelapse, TimeShift and Bullet Time.

The X5 features a 2.5-inch touchscreen, six-axis gyroscope, USB-C connectivity and microSD card support. Its 2400mAh battery delivers approximately 93 minutes of recording at 8K/30fps under Insta360's laboratory test conditions, with longer runtimes available at lower recording settings.
